Misery Guts is an Australian children's series that aired on Nine Network in 1998. Keith Shipley lives above a fish and chips shop in South London with his perpetually glum parents, Vin and Marge. Convinced their unhappiness stems from dreary English weather, Keith launches a mission to cheer them up—first by buying a tropical fish from sunny Australia, then by scheming to get the whole family there. As his efforts to brighten their moods backfire spectacularly, Keith becomes convinced that paradise itself is the answer.
