Elles et moi(2009)

Elles et moi is a French historical drama following the Esteva family after the Spanish Civil War. In January 1939, Barcelona falls to Franco's forces, forcing half a million Republicans into exile. While men are imprisoned in internment camps, Pilar and her two children are scattered across makeshift centers in rural Ardèche. Lluis, the father, clings to hopes of reconquest, but Pilar—resourceful and determined—accepts that France may be their permanent home. The series traces their struggle to survive and rebuild across five years of war, capturing how displacement reshapes a family's bonds and dreams.
