Fire of Desire(2001)

Fire of Desire is a Thai romantic drama about prejudice and second chances. Kenneth travels to Thailand with his best friend Yuth, but when Yuth's family faces financial ruin, Kenneth offers to help—with one condition: he must marry before accessing his inheritance. Kenneth seizes the opportunity to propose to Yuth's sister, PeangUma, a woman he's already fallen for. PeangUma agrees to the marriage solely to save her family, harboring deep resentment toward Western men after her aunt died from heartbreak caused by a Caucasian husband. As Kenneth desperately tries to prove his love, PeangUma pushes him away, blinded by her prejudice. The series follows their collision course as old wounds threaten to destroy what could become genuine love, forcing both to confront their deepest fears before it's too late.
