Young Person's Guide to History is a two-part television special that blends comedy with historical storytelling. Produced by Funny Garbage—the creative team behind Saul of the Mole Men—the special reunites much of that show's cast and crew for a fresh take on how we understand the past. Originally conceived as Thomas Jefferson American Phantasm, the project evolved into a broader exploration of history itself, maintaining the irreverent humor and inventive animation style that defined its predecessor. The special uses absurdist comedy and surreal visuals to make historical concepts accessible and entertaining for younger audiences, while offering enough wit and creativity to engage viewers of all ages.
