Riphagen is a Dutch drama series set during the Second World War, following the true story of Amsterdam's most notorious criminal. Dries Riphagen collaborates ruthlessly with the Nazis, amassing wealth by hunting down, extorting, and betraying Jews in hiding. Convinced of his own invulnerability, Riphagen operates with brazen impunity—until he makes a fatal mistake by betraying a key resistance cell. Young police officer and resistance fighter Jan van Liempd then launches a dangerous pursuit to bring him to justice. The series explores the moral complexities of wartime survival and the cat-and-mouse game between a criminal profiteer and those determined to stop him.
