Cousin Bazilio(1988)

Cousin Bazilio is a Portuguese drama that unfolds when Basílio returns to Lisbon from London and falls for his cousin Luísa. Before departing for Brazil, he promises marriage, but a letter arrives breaking his word. Luísa marries Jorge, an engineer, instead. When Jorge inherits money and a maid named Juliana from a deceased aunt, Juliana discovers old love letters between Luísa and Basílio. Armed with this secret, she begins blackmailing Luísa, threatening to expose the affair and destroy her marriage.
