The Last of Magikyan(2013)

The Last of Magikyan is a comedy series about Karen, a nearly 50-year-old Caucasian patriarch who refuses to budge from his rigid worldview. As the father of three daughters, he clings to old-fashioned values while the modern world moves on without him. Karen dismisses smartphones, social media, and contemporary dating norms as frivolous distractions. He believes a proper conversation happens over wine at the dinner table, not through screens. His daughters' independence—staying out late, spending time online—baffles and frustrates him. Karen represents a dying breed: a man who has never used Skype, who prefers handwritten letters, and who won't compromise his principles simply because "everyone does it now." The series mines comedy from the generational clash between his stubborn traditionalism and his family's modern lives, offering younger viewers a portrait of their parents' bewilderment, and older viewers a mirror of their own resistance to change.
