A Sudden Text follows five high school friends—Maude, Jennifer, Melanie, Vincent, and Sami—as they navigate adolescence in an era dominated by social media. When they band together to revive their school's struggling newspaper, the project becomes a catalyst for self-discovery. Balancing optimism with anxiety, the teens confront the messy realities of modern teenage life: complicated relationships, personal commitment, and the pressure to make a difference. As they work toward their shared goal of changing the world, each character grapples with who they are and who they want to become.
