It's a Square World(1961)

It's a Square World is a British comedy series that aired from 1960 to 1964, starring Michael Bentine in a collection of absurdist sketches and surreal comedy bits. Devised and written by Bentine and John Law, the show became a landmark of early television comedy, earning Bentine a BAFTA Award for Light Entertainment in 1962. A BBC compilation special won the Press Prize at the 1963 Rose d'Or Festival in Montreux, cementing the series' influence on British broadcasting. The show's inventive humour and experimental format made it a favourite among audiences, and select sketches were later released on vinyl, extending the reach of Bentine's distinctive comedic vision beyond the screen.
