Untamed China(2011)

Untamed China is a six-part wildlife series following adventurer Nigel Marven as he journeys across the country's most remote landscapes—mountains, grasslands, deserts and jungles—to discover rare and extraordinary creatures. The opening episode takes Marven to Yunnan Province in the southwest, home to over half of China's plant and animal species. There he explores the ancient city of Dali and surrounding forests, encountering bizarre reptiles and amphibians, participating in an unusual fishing expedition, witnessing the butterfly lifecycle, and observing the highly endangered Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys. The series combines adventure and natural history as Marven uncovers the hidden wildlife thriving across China's most untamed regions.
