Natsuzora(2019)

Natsuzora is a Japanese drama series following Okuhara Natsu, a Tokyo-born girl orphaned by war in 1945. Taken in by her father's comrade, she relocates to rural Hokkaido and gradually finds strength in the region's vast landscapes and resilient community. At school, she befriends Yamada Tenyo, an artist who introduces her to animation—a burgeoning art form gaining popularity in America. Inspired by this discovery, Natsu pursues her passion and eventually moves back to Tokyo after graduating high school to search for her brother and pursue a career in animation. The series traces her journey from war-torn orphan to determined young woman, capturing her growth amid post-war Japan's cultural transformation.
