Black Heart White Soul(2014)

Black Heart White Soul is a Hong Kong drama that weaves together the fates of three strangers through a robbery case. Matt Ko Chit-hang, a wheelchair-bound barrister, defends May Tam Mei-ching, a young woman wrongly implicated by her gangster boyfriend and convicted of attempted robbery. Despite losing the case, Chit-hang and Mei-ching fall in love. He becomes her guide toward redemption after her release from prison. Meanwhile, detective Funny Cheung Lap-fan investigates the crime and uncovers a shocking truth: years earlier, his negligence left a civilian paralyzed—that man is Chit-hang. As the investigation deepens, the three characters must confront their intertwined past and navigate the consequences of old mistakes, redemption, and unexpected connections.
