The New Fred and Barney Show(1979)

The New Fred and Barney Show is a 30-minute Saturday morning cartoon that revived The Flintstones for NBC in 1979. Produced by Hanna-Barbera, the series marked the first time voice actor Henry Corden performed Fred Flintstone for a regular series run. The show featured the familiar cast alongside Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm as toddlers, a departure from their teenage portrayals on The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show two years earlier. Episodes mixed classic Flintstones humor with new adventures involving witches, werewolves, and satirical takes on late-1970s trends. Seven original episodes were later packaged with reruns as Fred and Barney Meet the Thing and Fred and Barney Meet the Shmoo, extending the show's reach beyond its initial February-to-October run.
