Homeland(2019)

Homeland is a Chinese historical drama following Wei Da He, a former anti-Communist soldier whose convictions shift dramatically during the turbulent 1930s. Set against the Xi'an Incident, the series chronicles Wei's military career as he captures strategic positions and earns accolades, only to be dismissed after clashing with Red Army commander Gao Xiao Shan. When war breaks out, Wei returns to active duty and rescues military adviser Jiang Huai Zhu, then falls for Jiang's daughter Jiang Ya Zhen—unaware she works for the Communist underground. As Wei's ideological transformation unfolds, personal relationships and political allegiances collide, forcing him to reckon with his deepening beliefs and the woman he loves.
