Project Greenlight(2001)

Project Greenlight is a documentary series that follows first-time filmmakers competing for the chance to direct a feature film. Created by Alex Keledjian and developed by Eli Holzman, the show was produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon through their production company LivePlanet, alongside Miramax Films. The series originally aired on HBO for two seasons before moving to Bravo for its third season. Each season tracks aspiring directors as they pitch their visions, navigate creative challenges, and work to bring their projects to the screen. Project Greenlight offers an inside look at the filmmaking process, from initial concept through production, revealing both the opportunities and obstacles that emerge when breaking into the industry.
