América(2005)

América is a Brazilian series that follows two characters separated by circumstance and ambition. Sol grows up poor in Rio de Janeiro, dreaming of escape to the United States, while Tião comes from an even humbler background in São Paulo's cattle country, where he eventually becomes a skilled rodeo cowboy. When their paths cross, a connection forms—but Sol's determination to reach America pulls them apart. As she pursues an uncertain life as an undocumented immigrant in the U.S., Tião builds a life back home, facing his own struggles on the rodeo circuit. The series traces their parallel journeys across two countries, exploring themes of ambition, sacrifice, and the price of chasing dreams.
