Assorted Gems(2009)

Assorted Gems is a series about the Gung family, whose four siblings are named after precious jewels: Bi Chwi (Jade), San Ho (Coral), Ryu Bi (Ruby), and Ho Bak (Amber). Like gems with clashing colours and sharp edges, the siblings frequently clash with one another. The show follows their separate lives as they navigate family tensions and learn to balance their differences. Drawing parallels to a bowl of rice with mixed ingredients, Assorted Gems explores how the right balance creates harmony. Through their conflicts and misunderstandings, the Gung siblings discover what it takes to function as a cohesive family unit and find their perfect mixture.
