Chabos is a German series that follows Peppi, a 36-year-old man whose world tilts when he discovers he wasn't invited to his high school reunion. Desperate to understand the snub, he returns to his hometown and revisits his teenage years through flashbacks to his 16-year-old self—a bleached-tipped skateboarder navigating the early 2000s. The show captures that era's texture: flip phones, LAN parties, and Top of the Pops hits. But beneath the wild nostalgia lies a darker undercurrent. As Peppi excavates his past, uncomfortable truths emerge about the person he was and the reasons his former classmates may have had good cause to leave him off the guest list. Chabos mines comedy and shame from the gap between who we remember ourselves to be and who we actually were.
