Direct Flight(2010)

Direct Flight is a Portuguese series following four flight attendants—Patrícia, Marta, Yara and Weza—who maintain a fierce friendship while shuttling between Portugal and Luanda. As they approach 30, marriage, motherhood and career ambitions suddenly feel urgent. Life has other plans. When adult disappointments arrive, the women begin questioning everything they assumed about their futures—and the men in them. Irregular schedules and distance make it hard to connect, so stolen days off become precious. Grounded in humour and mutual support, Direct Flight explores how these friends navigate identity and choice when the world expects them to have it figured out. Each day offers a chance to rewrite the story they thought was already written.
