Double Up
Double Up(1992)
Double Up is an American game show that aired on NBC Saturday mornings in fall 1992. Hosted by J. D. Roth, who also served as executive producer, the show ran for just six weeks from September to October before cancellation. Disco, a rap DJ, provided announcements throughout the brief run. The series represented a quick experiment in Saturday morning game show programming during the early 1990s, when networks were testing new formats for young audiences. Despite its short lifespan, Double Up captured the era's distinctive style and energy. The show remains a footnote in NBC's game show history, remembered primarily by devoted fans of 1990s television nostalgia and those who caught it during its original limited broadcast window.
