Fisher(2023)

Fisher is a Soviet crime series set in 1986, following three investigators as they hunt a serial killer targeting teenagers near Moscow's government dachas. Intelligent lead detective Valery Kozyrev teams with his bold partner Evgeny Bokov from Rostov and inexperienced investigator Natalia Dobrovolskaya to track the maniac. Their only witness is schoolboy Igor, whose protective parents resist his involvement with police. As the case deepens, the investigation transforms each investigator's life in unexpected ways. The series captures the tension of a manhunt against the backdrop of Soviet bureaucracy and the moral complexities of using a child witness to catch a dangerous criminal.
