Koh-Lanta(2001)

Koh-Lanta is a French reality competition series where fourteen to eighteen contestants are stranded on an uninhabited island for forty days. Survival is the sole objective: players must hunt and forage for food to supplement meager rice rations, construct shelters against harsh weather and insects, and maintain fires they've built or won in early challenges. The show tests physical endurance, strategic thinking, and interpersonal dynamics as contestants navigate hunger, exhaustion, and the constant threat of elimination. Alliances form and fracture as players compete in grueling immunity challenges for comfort rewards and safety from tribal council votes. With minimal supplies and no modern conveniences, Koh-Lanta strips away civilization to reveal how ordinary people adapt—and clash—when pushed to their limits in the wilderness.
