Old Time Buddy(1997)

Old Time Buddy is a light comic memoir spanning four decades of Hong Kong cinema. Childhood friends Yuen and Ki pursue stardom together, but only Yuen achieves it, frequently starring opposite the era's hottest actresses, Fong and Chu. When Ki finally gains popularity, the industry begins its decline. A scandal destroys Ki's career when his father's murder is exposed, and Ki blames Yuen, turning the friends into bitter enemies. Thirty years later, the four reunite. As they confront their shared past, they discover whether time and distance have softened old wounds or cemented their rift. The film traces ambition, betrayal, and the cost of fame through Hong Kong's golden age of cinema.
