Outsourced(2010)

Outsourced is a comedy series following Todd Dempsy, an American call center manager sent to Bombay to oversee operations for a U.S. novelties company. Tasked with training local Indian employees to sell American kitsch to stateside customers, Todd finds himself navigating a bewildering gap between cultures. He struggles to explain the appeal of whoopee cushions and inflatable animals to workers who've never experienced American pop culture, while gradually discovering the depth and logic of Indian traditions. The show balances fish-out-of-water humor with genuine cross-cultural understanding, as Todd's initial frustration gives way to respect for his team and their way of life. Grounded in workplace comedy but infused with warmth, Outsourced explores how connection transcends geography and commerce.
