Placebo Effect is a comedy series following two broke students who take over an abandoned doctor's office and pose as physicians to make quick money. Armed with nothing but Google searches and audacious confidence, they attempt to treat their unsuspecting patients. When their first patient dies, the scheme spirals from petty fraud into a darkly comic nightmare. The show balances absurdist humor with the escalating consequences of their deception, as the pair scramble to cover their tracks while continuing to see new patients. What starts as a desperate con becomes a chaotic exploration of how far two people will go to survive, and how quickly their lies unravel when real lives are at stake.
