Salak Jit(2016)

Salak Jit is a Thai drama following a young girl sent to live with her estranged grandfather after her father's death. Unwelcome and mistreated by most of the family, she finds solace only in her cousin Pong and a kind man named Chai Diew. When Chai Diew leaves to work abroad, Salak Jit is left isolated and bullied by jealous relatives. Years later, Chai Diew returns to find her transformed into a woman, and romance blooms between them. Their rekindled connection faces immediate obstacles when Salak Jit becomes engaged to another man. The series explores themes of family rejection, loyalty, and the tension between duty and desire as Salak Jit navigates conflicting obligations and her true feelings.
