Spark(1997)

Spark is a comedy series following Ashley, who decides to find a wife after his terminally ill mother passes away. Eager to fill the void left by her death and make use of his large empty house, Ashley enlists enthusiastic help from his sister-in-law Colette. Finding a suitable partner proves harder than expected, however—Ashley has spent years caring for his mother and has little experience with women. Complicating matters is Gillian, a dull but persistent presence in his life whose mother has already decided Gillian should be Ashley's wife. As Ashley navigates the dating world with Colette's well-meaning interference, he must also contend with Gillian's unspoken expectations and her mother's determined matchmaking.
