Top Buzzer is a British sitcom written by Johnny Vaughan and Ed Allen that aired on MTV in 2004. Billed as television's first "dope opera," the show follows two small-time cannabis dealers, Lee and Sticky, and their eccentric customers. Sticky dreams of becoming the next Richard Branson, while Lee idolizes Kriss Payne and his legendary "Super Pot." The comedy mines humor from their misadventures and the colorful cast orbiting their operation. Despite strong guest appearances from figures like Mackenzie Crook, Sean Lock, Bez, Shaun Ryder, and Xzibit, Top Buzzer lasted just one series of ten episodes before concluding in 2004. The show was later repeated on Five and released on DVD in October 2005, becoming a cult curiosity of early 2000s British television.
