The Grind is a modern urban drama set in Hackney, East London, where nightclub manager Vince has built a respectable life managing The Grind for his boss Dave, a ruthless loan shark. When his childhood best friend Bobby is released from prison, their reunion threatens everything Vince has worked for. Bobby's spiral into cocaine addiction and compulsive gambling leaves him deeply indebted to Dave, forcing Vince into an impossible position between loyalty to his oldest friend and his own dreams of stability—including marriage to Nancy and running a casino. As pressures mount from all sides, Vince's carefully constructed world collapses, testing every friendship and alliance he holds dear in a world of sex work, drugs, and dangerous debts.
