Roger Dodger is a dark comedy about a slick Manhattan ad executive whose gift for manipulation extends to his romantic conquests. He credits his success with women to emotional sleight of hand, believing he's cracked the code of seduction. When his awkward teenage nephew arrives for a visit, the man decides to mentor him in the art of pickup, dragging the kid through the city's nightlife. What unfolds is a reckoning: the nephew's genuine confusion and vulnerability expose the hollowness of his uncle's tactics. As the night progresses, the executive's carefully constructed worldview begins to crack, revealing the loneliness and desperation beneath his confident facade.
