Sounds of Sand(2007)

Sounds of Sand follows a family's desperate journey across an unforgiving landscape. When drought and the threat of war devastate their village, the well runs dry and livestock perish. While most villagers flee south, Rahne—the only literate member of his community—leads his wife Mouna and three children eastward with nothing but a handful of sheep, goats, and a single dromedary. Their odyssey becomes a tale of survival against impossible odds, where hope and fatality walk hand in hand. The film captures the raw struggle of displacement, exploring how ordinary people endure when nature and conflict conspire to strip away everything they know.
