Carousel is a musical film that follows Billy Bigelow, a man who died 15 years ago and now resides in the afterlife. Having previously forfeited his chance to return to Earth, Billy learns that his widow Julie and the child he never knew are facing hardship. Desperate to help them, he petitions the gatekeeper for permission to return for one day, but first must recount his life story. Based on the beloved Rodgers and Hammerstein Broadway musical, Carousel explores themes of redemption, love, and second chances through soaring melodies and emotional drama. The film examines whether a flawed man can find grace and make a difference in the lives of those he left behind.
