Morning Star is a medieval fantasy film about a weary warrior bound by a deathbed promise. After witnessing his closest friend fall in battle, the man travels to the grieving king to deliver the tragic news. The monarch, broken by the loss of his only heir, demands the warrior's continued service. But the soldier craves peace and abandons the court to find solace. His escape is interrupted when he rescues a young woman fleeing soldiers—only to discover she is a witch. As the Inquisition descends on the kingdom, the warrior faces an impossible choice: abandon his search for peace or take up arms once more to protect those he loves from religious persecution and bloodshed.
