Hassan, the Bald(1970)

Hassan, the Bald is a pioneering Iranian musical film rooted in traditional folk tales. The story centers on Hassan, a lazy and bald man cast out by his mother, who becomes enchanted by Chelgis, a girl imprisoned by an ogre in a magical garden. Determined to rescue her, Hassan strikes a fateful bargain with his doppelganger in a public bathhouse: the double will grant his wishes in exchange for years of his life. Yet each wish comes twisted, never quite matching Hassan's hopes.
