The Big Everything is a science fiction film about Niels, a mechanic imprisoned on Earth who accepts a dangerous bargain: join a crew of eccentric scientists on a spaceship bound for a black hole fifty light years away. The catch is brutal. While the mission takes only six weeks in hyperspace, a century passes on Earth. Niels agrees, hoping the journey will drastically reduce his prison sentence, but the plan hinges on everything going perfectly—an unlikely prospect when dealing with the vast unknowns of deep space. The film explores themes of sacrifice, time, and the impossible choices we make when desperate.
