IO is a science fiction drama following a young scientist determined to find a way to save Earth as the planet becomes increasingly uninhabitable. While she pursues her research on the last remaining outpost, she encounters a man desperately trying to secure a spot on the final shuttle leaving the planet. Their collision of purpose—her commitment to staying and fighting for Earth's survival versus his urgency to escape—forms the emotional core of the film. As resources dwindle and time runs out, the two must navigate their conflicting goals and the harsh realities of a dying world. The film explores themes of sacrifice, hope, and what it means to hold onto humanity when civilization itself is crumbling.
