The release captures the Dead in their final years, showcasing the interplay between Jerry Garcia's guitar work and Robert Hunter's lyrics during a period of creative partnership nearing its end. Beyond the live performances, the DVD includes a previously unreleased music video for "Liberty," one of the last songs the two collaborators would create together.
