Troop Zero is a coming-of-age film set in rural Georgia during 1977. A spirited misfit girl obsessed with outer space learns about a NASA competition where the winning entry will be recorded on the Golden Record and launched into space. Determined to enter, she assembles an unlikely group of Birdie Scouts—misfits and outcasts like herself—to compete. As the ragtag troop trains together, they discover friendship, acceptance, and belonging in each other. The film balances humor with genuine heart as these young girls support one another through personal struggles while chasing a dream that feels impossibly far away.
