Achille Tarallo is a Neapolitan bus driver trapped between domestic unhappiness and showbiz dreams. He performs at weddings with his friend Café, hoping their manager Pennabic will finally launch their crooning career. Married to the sharp-tongued Elide and estranged from his son, Achille's life shifts when he meets his mother's new caregiver—a gentle Eastern European woman who awakens feelings he thought long dead.
