Laisse béton(1984)

Laisse béton is a French film about two petty young criminals whose lives intersect around a mysterious film. Brian and Nourredine are small-time offenders whose paths cross when they become obsessed with a reel of footage shot in San Francisco. The film was made by Brian's father, a rock singer from the sixties now serving time in prison. As the two boys pursue the tape, their quest becomes a window into Brian's troubled family history and his search for connection to a father he barely knows. The film captures the restless energy of youth caught between delinquency and the possibility of redemption, set against the backdrop of post-war French society.
