Lawine(2007)

Lawine is a German drama that follows Thomas, a professional athlete returning to his Alpine village after years abroad in Canada. He arrives to find his life unrecognizable: his brother Winnie now runs the family farm with a settled family, while their rival Bernhard has built a stable career with Thomas's former girlfriend Maria. At 35, Thomas faces an uncertain future as old tensions resurface among the men. The situation intensifies when heavy snowfall forces authorities to evacuate the village due to avalanche danger, trapping the characters in a mounting crisis—both personal and environmental—that tests their bonds and forces a reckoning with the past.
