Time to Kill(1945)

Time to Kill is a 1942 drama about a group of Navy sailors who initially mock their shipmate Frank for his constant reading. Each man harbors a different dream—Harry hopes to build a better life for his children, Shorty and Eddie dream of launching a trucking business, Joe wants to master engine mechanics, and another seeks to improve his writing. When Frank reveals he's been studying for his high school diploma through the Armed Forces Institute, his crewmates realize the same educational program can help them pursue their own ambitions. The film explores how military service opens unexpected doors to personal advancement and self-improvement.
