Vampires(2010)

Vampires is a Belgian mockumentary that follows an unconventional family of bloodsuckers navigating modern life. George and Bertha, the vampire parents, have raised two former humans—the hedonistic son Samson and the conflicted daughter Grace—in their isolated community. Samson embraces his newfound immortality with reckless abandon, indulging in the sexual freedoms vampire existence offers without regard for taboo. Grace, by contrast, desperately craves her lost humanity: she applies fake tan to hide her pallor, wears bright pink clothes, and pursues a relationship with a human boyfriend, yearning to feel genuine emotion again. Director Vincent Lannoo crafts a darkly comic portrait of a family caught between their nature and their desires, blending horror with absurdist humour as the vampires grapple with loneliness, identity, and the messy complications of immortal kinship.
