Rest on Your Shoulder(2011)

Rest on Your Shoulder is a fantasy romance set during an era of widespread epidemics. Botanist Yan Guo and his fiancée Baobao relocate to Moon Island, a nature reserve, to study rare plants with medicinal properties. Following tradition, they pray to the magical Eros Tree to strengthen their bond, but the ritual demands a brutal price: Baobao must remain invisible to Yan for three years to save his life. The couple must navigate this impossible separation as they grapple with love, sacrifice, and the consequences of their devotion. Against the backdrop of a plague-stricken world, Rest on Your Shoulder explores whether their connection can survive when they cannot see each other.
