Přítel lhář(1957)

Přítel lhář is a Czech film about a marriage tested by infidelity and deception. Kamil and Vlasta live apart due to work, but when Vlasta arrives in Prague unannounced to surprise her husband, she discovers he's not where he claims to be. After his friend Pepek fails to cover for him, Vlasta tracks Kamil to a nightclub, where she catches him with his mistress. Forced to improvise, Kamil scrambles to manage the fallout, returning home empty-handed and dodging his wife until a chance encounter at the train station forces a reckoning. The film captures the unraveling of a relationship caught between desire and obligation, told with dark comedic timing.
