Friendly Fire is a Brazilian drama set in the early 1970s, following four friends—Miguel, Eloi, Osvaldo, and Paolo—who fought against the military dictatorship through armed resistance. All suffered torture and arrest for their activism. Twenty-five years later, the men remain close, though only Miguel stays politically engaged. When Miguel spots the policeman who tortured them and killed his girlfriend at a political rally in São Paulo, he's shocked to discover the man is supposedly dead. Miguel shares this revelation with his friends during a fishing trip, and together they decide to track down their former tormentor. Their pursuit reignites old wounds and fractures their friendship as they confront not only their nemesis but also their own conflicting desires for justice, revenge, and closure.
