Second Chorus is a 1940 musical comedy about two rival trumpeters who've managed to stay in college for seven years by deliberately failing their exams. When Ellen Miller joins the band as manager, both men scheme to win her heart while sabotaging each other's careers. The film follows Danny O'Neill and Hank Taylor as their competitive antics escalate, blending jazz-era charm with slapstick humor. Caught between romance and rivalry, the two musicians must eventually decide what matters more: their love for Ellen or their endless campus rivalry. A lighthearted romp through college life and big band culture.
