Sometimes all you need in life is a little magic.

Slapdash is a dark comedy that follows a struggling magic troupe whose boozy, aimless existence takes a chaotic turn when they accidentally swap a hockey bag full of marijuana for a dead body. What begins as a simple mistake spirals into a series of increasingly absurd and dangerous situations as the group scrambles to contain the fallout. With their careers already in freefall and their judgment clouded by alcohol, the magicians find themselves entangled in a mess far beyond their comprehension. The film mines comedy from the collision between their delusional ambitions and harsh reality, as incompetence meets circumstance in darkly humorous ways. Slapdash captures the desperation and dysfunction of people clinging to dreams they're wholly unequipped to achieve.
