Xanda(2004)

Xanda is a martial arts film following Qiang, a skilled kung fu fighter from the countryside who journeys to the city to see his friend Lung. There, Qiang discovers that Lung has embraced Xanda, an innovative combat sport blending multiple martial arts disciplines. When the reigning Xanda champion brutally injures Lung, Qiang commits himself to mastering this hybrid fighting style. Driven by vengeance, he enters the competitive ring to face off against the man responsible for his friend's suffering. The film combines intense action sequences with themes of loyalty and redemption as Qiang navigates unfamiliar terrain—both the urban landscape and the demands of a martial art unlike anything he's trained in before.
