Ballade Vir 'n enkeling(1987)

Ballade Vir 'n Enkeling is an Afrikaans-language drama set in 1985 that follows journalist Carina Human as she searches for her missing colleague Jacques Rynhard. Just as Jacques is about to be announced as the winner of the prestigious Basson Prize for his novel Die Enkeling, he vanishes without a trace. Magazine editor Otto Beukes assigns Carina to investigate the disappearance, sending her to track down the people closest to Jacques. As she uncovers the circumstances surrounding his sudden absence, Carina discovers a mystery that challenges everything she thought she knew about her colleague and the world around them.
